The Radisson hotel near Southern Methodist University officially became the Holiday Inn Dallas Central-Park Cities earlier this week.
Back in August, the Dallas Business Journal reported that Dallas-based TriGate Capital, which owns the 295-room hotel, was investing $8 million into the property as it changed brands.
The hotel’s rooms, lobby and café have been renovated and work on the 12,000-square-foot meeting space is still underway. The event space and exterior LED lighting is set to be complete by early 2013.
TriGate cited the hotel’s location, near SMU and the soon-to-open George W. Bush presidential library, as reasons to improve the property.
