Growing tech consulting company takes space in South Charlotte
A technology consultant company based in SouthPark will relocate farther south later this year.
SeedSpark, a Charlotte-based company that consults with businesses on digital transformation, business automation, and web and application development, will lease 10,435 square feet at 7621 Little Ave., known as Quail Plaza, in south Charlotte. The company is currently at 5970 Fairview Road in SouthPark.
SeedSpark signed a seven-year lease and will take occupancy at Quail Plaza on Sept. 1, according to Cushman & Wakefield, which brokered the transaction on behalf of the landlord, TriGate Capital. As of September, SeedSpark had 36 full-time employees and reported sales of $3.9 million in 2016, according to the Charlotte Business Journal‘s most recent ranking of technology consulting firms.
Chad Jenkins, CEO of SpeedSpark, said in a statement that the move to Quail Hollow was needed to accommodate the company’s growth.
“As soon as we saw the facility, we knew it was the ideal space for us to service our growing roster of clients,” Jenkins said.
Dallas real estate investment firm TriGate Capital acquired Quail Plaza, an 88,450-square-foot office building near the intersection of Carmel and Pineville-Matthews roads, in 2015 for $9.6 million. The five-story building, which delivered in 1984, was renovated by TriGate after closing on the sale.
Jessica Brown and Kris Westmoreland at Cushman & Wakefield represented TriGate in the lease transaction. Gene Bodycott at New Forum represented SpeedSpark.
