Ian Morris is Chief Financial Officer of TriGate with more than a decade of experience in accounting, financial reporting, capital formation and debt execution for institutional real estate investment platforms. Prior to joining TriGate, Mr. Morris spent eight years at Stonelake Capital Partners, a real estate private equity firm, most recently as Managing Director of Accounting & Finance. In this role, he oversaw fund accounting, investor financial reporting, audit and tax reporting, and debt financing execution across the firm’s fund platform.
Prior to Stonelake, Mr. Morris served as a Tax Senior at Ernst & Young in Dallas, where he specialized in partnership taxation for clients with institutional investment structures. He began his career at Grant Thornton in Oklahoma City, providing tax services to clients across the commercial real estate, oil and gas, and industrial sectors.
Mr. Morris holds a B.B.A. in Accounting, summa cum laude, from Oklahoma Christian University. He is a Certified Public Accountant in Texas and a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
